No, just make sure that they are a safe distance away from the chemicals so they can't touch them or accidently swallow anything. They chemicals can be strong, so I suggest that you do it in an open space with a window open, and keep the children either in another room or at least the other side of the room.
Is it dangerous to dye someones hair when there is kids around ages 2months to 10years old?
Only if the chemicals are within the kid's reach...don't want them getting fingers in it and placing into their mouths.
This also includes rollers , sponges, papers, etc.
But, like cigarettes, any strong chemical smell should be kept away from children.
At the least, make sure the area is well ventilated during the hair dye process.
