I need help getting this off of the puppy. I tried washing her and I put alcohol on it, but it's still really sticky and won't come off. It seems like it's different than other glues....any suggestions??

Can you carefully trim the pup's fur where the glue is? How old is the pup? Tried bathing him with luke warm water and puppy shampoo?

You should REALLY keep a closer eye on your children when they are with the puppy, you're lucky they didn't get it in his eyes!!!

My guess is your going to have to trim the fur, i wouldnt suggest putting a number of chemicals on the dog or creating pain by trying to get the glue off.

Is it small enough patches to cut or shave out??? If so that's what I would do. Hair grows back and this way you won't be putting unnecessary chemicals on the coat and trying to brush it or scrub it out. That's the best way I have found to get a foreign substance out of a dog or cat's coat. If it's over a larger portion of the hair, try the adhesive remover you can use on pets. Ask at your local pet store or your veterinarian.

You can try fingernail polish remover. It might work the best. You can also try peanut butter.

Well You can try to wait until it drys and brush it out or if you have some goo gone bab that on a paper towel and then gently rub the dogs fur inbetween the goo gone and paper toweling. Then rewash the area!

You could take him to a groomer, or call one to see if they have anything that they could do befre you waste a trip. If not, you may just have to cut the glue out.

I hope your little ones were reprimanded and taught that this IS not how to treat the family pet.

There will be instructions on the bottle as to how to remove it. Sometimes soapy water will work (which you've tried), others you have to saturate in a high oil solution (baby oil/olive oil) others normal make up remover will work.

If the hair is long, then you might try cutting it out. If the dog has short hair, you might be able to shave the spot with a pair of clippers. You could try using a small amount of DAWN soap on just that spot- it will take out grease, not sure about adhesives.

Unfortunately, most adhesive removers might be toxic to your dog as well.

I'm not positive about glue, but anything oily should work. I would try food products since you're dog might lick it. Mayonnaise, peanut butter, butter, vegetable oil.

I use the product Goo Gone, on most sticky things, it should work. You can find it at most stores.

Peanut butter or vegetable oil should work. My cat got some of my leg wax on his tail and vegetable oil and a brush got it out.
