I get teased EVERYWHERE just because I have red hair!!!?

I know this may sound pretty stupid to some people, because it definitely does to me. There are a lot of people in my age group who make fun of me just because I have red hair. They do it to other people with it, too. They don't call us by our names anymore, just "Ginger," and whenever I'm sitting near to another person with red hair they always have to comment on it, and call us "Gingers." They also say we don't have souls and are worse than Hitler. A lot of this doesn't happen in school so I can't register a complaint about it. This has also started happening pretty recently; only about a month ago and even by kids I thought were pretty nice. I'm 16 by the way, and I live in Colorado.

ginger is a new one on me. Ihave red hair too and I was called worse. eventually you learn tolive with it. or take the easier way out and color ur hair. hope this helps

there jealous.. red hair is pretty.. you can add some highlights to it to bring out the color.. or add some brown to dull it a bit..look at the girl that play willow on buffy the vampire slayer.. allison hannangen i think was her name.. she brought out the highlights in her hair..just by lighten it up a bit..

Let me remind you...Debra Messing, Lindsay Lohan, they are red heads, and they are both hot. I don't see why you are getting offended, you should be happy with your red hair, it's unique.

Yes, that is pretty stupid. I've never heard the 'Ginger' one before. One of my friends has red hair, and I mean it is red, well red orange. But it's none of that red/brown stuff. She gets teased a lot and is usually called a leprechaun or 'Carrot topping.' All I can say is that you have to take all this and make it into a learning experiance. It makes you stronger, until, eventually these words will not matter to you. I mean think about it, they take their time out of their day to make fun of you. It really does show how much of a life they have.

Humor is usually the best option in this situation. Try going to www.allsp.com and click on season 9. Episode 11 is an episode called Ginger Kids. Watch it and then use some quotes when responding to the kids.

In all honesty they probably watched the same episode and that may have caused their teasing.
