like if there hair isnt brushed u brush it for them and make sure they look good. why do parents care about what there kid looks like?
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
because if you don't people think you don't take care of your kids.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
What they look like is a reflection of their parents
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Cause people see your c hildren out....and they use that as an example of you as a parent...and we dont want tobe looked at as slobs....so we wont let our kids either...plus its just good hygeinie to brush your hair jeez
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
It is your job as a parent to take care of them. Taking care of them means brushing their hair and teeth and having them in clean clothing. You want people to enjoy your children and not be offended by their clothes or dirtiness.
Your children are a reflection of you and they deserve the extra few minutes to get them ready.
Take Care,

Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
because your children are a DIRECT reflection of you and how you are as a parent!
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
I think that they believe it reflects on society's opinion of them.
And I also think that's why my mom wouldn't let me dye my hair purple, haha. They think people would ask "why would her parents let her out of the house looking like a circus freak?" or something like that. But seriously, who cares what they think? Enjoy being young while you can! :D
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Children can be a pain, but they are dearly loved by their parents. Most parents don't want to be embarrassed or have their children be picked on by the way they look. Even though there will always be someone to pick, if parents can protect them from it they will try.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
IN this day and age, if your children don't look well cared for, someone can try to make legal trouble for you. That doesn't mean every child that looks neat and clean has a great family life, but why invite trouble? Besides, why wouldn't you want to teach your children good habits...making yourself look presentable when you go somewhere?
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
because your kids represent you in sooo many ways
my sister works at an elementry school with a lot of kids from poor families
the ones that come to school with their hair brushed and clean clothes often comes from families that care, unlike the kids who come with roaches crawling out of their backpacks (yes, that really happened) and that smell often times come from families that don't show up for those parent teacher meetings and when they do, don't show much interest.
what would you want your child to say about you?
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
yes i did,but also let them have freedom to choose, they have there own dress codes..so my thing was if clean and not hurtign anyone dress as you please but i must admit some of the girls these days that are 12 13 need to be a little more careful,or there parents for they don`t wear a whole lot, pervs love it, i don`t
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Because they're stupid.
It's not about how the kids look.
It's about what other people may think of the parents.
Haven't you watched "Everybody Hates Chris"?
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Because I care about my kids, and about my family. My kids are members of my family, and what they look like in public reflects on me as a parent. Also, it is my job to teach them how to present themselves in order to be successful in life. If they don't think it's important to brush their hair or teeth or wear clean clothes, they will never be able to make a good impression on others or achieve their full potential.
Once they grow up and move out, they can look like whatever they want. But if I've done my job, they will want to look like decent people.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
I definitely care. My son is a big heavy metal fan. So we buy him clothes that make him look sharp, but still keeping the heavy metal look he likes. Decent shoes. Black jeans. A good metal shirt. Wrist bands with his favorite band logos. Wallet with a chain and a band logo. Necklace. Hair combed nicely. And most important; an id card (he is 15) so all those cops that keep stopping him and demanding ID will be a bit nice to him. He walks, no bike or car, so he is always getting stopped. Talk about stereotyping.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
My daughters are the same way. I believe it reflects you as the parent. Your kept but their not? Are they neglected? Kids will get dirty and messy on thier own, however they aren't born knowing how to clean up its our job to teach them.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
If they look like they had no clothes on they could get arrested.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
My kids can dress themselves as long as we aren't going somewhere fancy, but I always encourage people to look their best. Do you not take pride in looking your best, even if it is in a pair of clean jeans, clean T-shirt and your hair brushed. People are more apt to be nicer and more respectful to you and your family than a bunch of scrubs.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Well i don't like to take my kids out of the house with food on them from meals, or dirty clothes they have spilled things on. I think its good to teach them to be clean, good hygiene is never a bad thing. :-)
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
I think it's interesting how so many people on here are self-centered.
Having your child look presentable isn't about you, it's about them!
If you kids go through life looking respectable and kept clean then their lives will be easier, they'll command more respect, they'll have less trouble attracting the proper social association, and they'll come to disdain uncleanliness.
But, to be a parent and think about yourself and how people think of you, I feel it's narcissistic as well as shameful.
Parents need to be more selfless with their kids and stop worrying about "Keeping up with the Jones'.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Of couse I care. My kids have to have their hair brushed, faces washed, clean, matching clothes. I work at a preschool and I have children come in with dirty faces and clothes. Their parents just have the attitude, "oh well they are kids and they get dirty." But I feel that my kids need to be clean, or I'm not doing the best job I could as a parent.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
I care about how my kids look when they go out for a few reasons:
1) It's says a lot on how the kids think about themselves.
2) It's sets the tone on how someone might treat and/or lable them.
3) It's a direct reflection back on the Parent. Shows whether the parent really cares or not.
4) For a future employer, it's one of the factors that helps to determine if they get the job or not.
5) It affects whether someone would help them or not if they were to need some help.
6) Some dress is totally disrespectful in the public.
I'm sure there's more reasons, but those are for starters.

Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Because appearance is everything. Whether you like it or not people make judgments based on appearance. Your child's appearance is a reflection of you as a parent. If your child goes in public with dirty hands/face/clothes people will think that you arent taking care of your child. Also you should take pride in your appearance it boasts your self-esteem and self-image, all things you want your child to grow up with, these are some of the things to help them succeed in life. If your child never learns these things then it doesn't matter how great of a personality or how smart they are other people will never give them a chance. For one I would never let my child go to another child's house if their face, hands and clothes were never clean--I would wonder if this person was going to take care of my child while he was over there or what kind of environment I would be exposing my child to.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
They don't want people to think s/he is a bad parent or they don't want their child to be picked on or seen as inferior to the nicely dressed and groomed children.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Because it's a direct reflection on the parent(s)! When I see a kid looking like a bum then I wonder how the parent(s) dresses, what their living conditions look like and if the parent(s) even care.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
My son is only a year so I haven't reached this point yet, but I've always admired the parents who let their children dress themselves, at least on occasion. A part of me can't wait to see his wacky combinations when he gets older. However, everything will be clean, including him, and his unruly mop of curls will have some attempt made at training them. No, he won't leave the house every single day in the most obnoxious outfits that he can come up with, but if we have to run errands, we have to run errands. I'm not going to discourage his creativity because of what other people might think of me because frankly, I don't care what other people think of me.
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
Because how your children look is a direct reflection on the parents. If they look sloppy and ungroomed, what else is neglected by the parent? Besides, parents are teaching the child early on the importance of self-care! If they are not taught when they are young, when will they learn?
Why do you care what your kids look like when they leave the house?
When I was younger my mom and I alwyas had a battle over my hair. I was her only girl and she didnt want to cut my hair, but I wouldn't let her brush it either so it was just a big mess. I went to school without brushing it once and my teacher ended up sending me to the nurses office and I don't remmber exactly, but they were asking me a lot of questions like trying to figure out if i had a negilant mother. So awkward.
